Gran Canaria – an island for everyone

If you ever wondered if Gran Canaria is the island for you …

(Yes – we weren’t convinced to go there,
yes – we thought Canary Islands are overrated …)

We answer YES.

(… Eventually we didn’t want to come back.
Prepare for ahhhhs and ohhhhs because we’ve fallen in love! )

You may lay flat at the beach, hike hundreds of mountain trails, examine rocks or run away from centipede… And this is only the beginning.

Variety of Gran Canaria knocks you down (in 100% positive way). Really! Look, everyone can find something here but definitely the one who loves:

1) mountains, cliffs, not crowdy trails:

Beautiful! It’s clear the island is still very pristine. Love the cat. Do you know whether it had any sort of strategic purpose before the turn of the century?

This looks like an amazing trip but let me say that you guys are absolute fantastic photographers. Wow! I love your shots, especially the cactus and plants.

Thanks Melody – words like yours motivates us to be better and better! But it is a long way and we would love to be photographers one day 🙂

Wow, absolute wow factor in every picture! (Loving the Santa hat by the way!) It is so vastly different than what I had pictured in my head, and in a good way. It has our type of adventure and experiences written all over it. The hiking would be so spectacular! It’s all the best rolled into one island. My kids would be sold on the puppy and cat alone.

Emilia Mlak January 10, 2017 at 8:07 am

Great to hear Amy! 🙂 I borrowed hat from Santa, but now it’s returned and ready for him for next season 😀 The hikes are really spectacular and the island is so various! Say hello to your kids, they would be amazed – we met friendly cats and dogs there every day! 🙂

This is super interesting. I was interested when you said about the cactus. I’ve never seen cactus like that!

Emilia Mlak January 10, 2017 at 8:10 am

Haha, yes, CACTUS was enormous! The best part is they were all that big in this area 😀

Mountains and beaches are my favorite places anywhere int he world. So you had me in the very first two points. Stunning photographs there and I was indeed going ‘ooohhh’ and ‘aaahhh’ as you said I would
